Job summary

GE Aerospace in Livonia, MI is seeking a Digital Technology Intern to gain hands-on experience in software and IT projects. You will work with mentors, participate in events, and develop through formal training and networking opportunities.

The role may lead to a full-time position in the Digital Technology Leadership Program after graduation. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s program in a STEM field, with strong GPA, reliability, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate's, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator program.
• Degree focused in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, MIS, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis, or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experience.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding.
• Reliable transportation, as many sites do not have public transportation available.
• Willing to work in Livonia, MI

Responsibilities

• Support digital tools and solutions by assisting with the development, enhancement, or maintenance of applications, reports, or internal systems.
• Contribute to day-to-day team activities by helping with assigned tasks, basic analysis, and problem solving to support business and technical needs.
• Collaborate and learn by working with team members, participating in meetings, and building skills in relevant tools, technologies, and processes.
• Digital Technology Interns are assigned to specific areas of the business based on position availability, interviewer assessments, and applicant preferences.
• Focus areas may include, but are not limited to, Digital Platforms, Full Stack Development, Cyber Security, Commercial, Data Analytics, ERP, and more.

Education

Associate's degree or higher with Software/IT focus

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering/IT Security or related STEM

Master’s degree or equivalent in Software/IT related field

GPA 3.0+ (on 4.0 scale)
