Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks a Digital Strategy and Implementation Senior Advisor to lead the EHSQ digital agenda, partnering with business, IT, and operations to design and drive a multi-year strategy, deliver AI, automation, and enterprise platforms, and enable data-driven decisions that improve safety, compliance, and performance.

You will establish KPIs, oversee project delivery, streamline processes, manage risks, and guide change as the organization modernizes its digital stack.

Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in work management.
  • Experience developing and executing digital strategy and roadmaps in large organizations.
  • Experience leading enterprise technology implementations and digital product delivery.
  • Experience with AI, automation, analytics, or emerging technologies to improve processes.

Become a Digital Strategy and Implementation Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will serve as the strategic lead for the Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) organization's digital strategy and innovation efforts, driving the implementation of digital solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and enterprise technology platforms. You will partner with business leaders, IT organizations, and operational stakeholders to develop and execute a multi-year digital strategy that improves safety and compliance, enhances operational performance, reduces risk, and enables data-driven decision-making while advancing EHSQ's vision and strategic priorities.

As a Digital Strategy and Implementation Senior Advisor, you will identify and deliver innovative solutions that modernize business processes, improve user experiences, strengthen governance, and accelerate EHSQ's digital transformation journey. Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develops work plans, establishes timelines, and sets priorities to ensure that resources and efforts are aligned with organizational goals; analyze project requirements, breaks them down into manageable tasks, and allocates work to individuals or teams based on their skills and availability.
  • Assesses resource needs for various projects and initiatives. Identifies and allocates the necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure that work is adequately resourced; collaborates with managers and team leads to optimize resource utilization, balance workloads, and address any resource constraints or bottlenecks that may arise.
  • Monitors the progress of tasks and projects to ensure that work is on track and aligned with established timelines and milestones; uses project management tools or work management software to track task completion, update status, and identify potential risks or delays; regularly communicates progress updates to stakeholders and take appropriate actions to mitigate issues or adjust schedules as needed.
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess work performance and productivity; collects and analyzes data on work progress, resource utilization, and project outcomes.
  • Prepares reports, dashboards, or presentations to provide insights and updates on work performance to stakeholders and management.
  • Evaluates work processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization; streamline processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity; may leverage automation tools or workflow management systems to streamline and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Identifies and manages risks associated with work activities. Assesses potential risks, develops risk mitigation strategies, and establishes contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks on work progress and project outcomes; monitors and addresses any emerging risks or issues that may affect the successful completion of work.
  • Anticipates and manages changes that impact work activities; assesses the impact of changes, communicates updates to stakeholders, and revises work plans or priorities accordingly; works closely with change management teams to ensure that work processes and resources are aligned with organizational changes or strategic initiatives.
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, gathering lessons learned, and implementing process enhancements.
  • Encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members; identifies opportunities for skill development or training and facilitates continuous learning to enhance work performance and productivity. A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ten or more years of experience in work management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Environmental, Health & Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and executing digital strategy, technology roadmaps, or business transformation initiatives within a large or complex organization.
  • Experience leading enterprise technology implementations, system integrations, workflow automation, analytics solutions, or digital product delivery.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, automation, advanced analytics, or emerging technologies used to improve business processes and decision-making.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as Enablon, SAP, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, or similar business systems.

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
