Job summary

Reed College seeks a collaborative, student-oriented librarian to provide leadership with digital scholarship, data-intensive research, and quantitative-focused liaison areas. In this position, you will oversee the electronic thesis submission process, participate in digital collections support, and collaborate on digital scholarship initiatives.

As one of six liaison librarians in Research Services, you’ll work with students, faculty and staff on data-driven research and instruction, while

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS or relevant advanced degree and minimum of 2 years of professional, relevant library experience.
• Experience teaching information literacy principles and practices.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating on digital initiatives or finding and managing research data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison to data/quantitative analysis departments, developing relationships with faculty and students.
• Lead data-driven research coordination and support data-intensive coursework across disciplines.
• Represent the library on campus Data@Reed initiatives.
• Guide data management planning, data literacy, and ethical data use for students, faculty and stakeholders.
• Oversee electronic thesis submission workflows, coordinate with library and campus partners, and develop outreach materials.
• Identify strategic digital initiatives in scholarly communication, repositories, and OER.
