Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented professional to capture high-quality audio and video records of legal proceedings. You will set up and test equipment, administer oaths, annotate testimony, and manage exhibits, while maintaining a neutral role and professional presence.

Training will be provided for recording platforms and you may pursue Notary Public and CER certification with company support. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, driving capabilities, and the ability to

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Notary Public license and CER certification (AAERT/CAPTUR) required or pursued with company support.
• Typing speed 50 wpm with good accuracy.
• Willingness to learn recording platforms with training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and professional demeanor under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; pass background check.

• Annotate essential testimony for transcription, search, and playback.
• Manage and secure exhibits, back up all files, and complete job worksheets.
• Build strong, professional relationships with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a calm, professional presence under pressure.
• Confidence with everyday technology and Microsoft Office; willingness to learn our recording platforms with full training provided.
• Touch typing at roughly 50 wpm with good accuracy.
• Willingness to obtain a Notary Public license and AAERT/CAPTUR Certified Electronic Reporter (CER) certification—we support you through the process.
• High school diploma or equivalent. A college degree or court reporting, legal studies, communications, or A/V background is a plus, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a national criminal background check.
