Job summary

Dow Inc. invites PhD scientists and engineers to join a digital internship across North America, with hybrid or remote options.

You’ll be aligned to Dow’s R&D, ISC, M&E, IS or EHS&S teams and solve open-ended problems to accelerate the digital evolution of a global materials leader. As part of the internship, you will collaborate with domain experts to predict formulation properties, improve manufacturing efficiency, and modernize R&D software.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• Minimum GPA of 3.00 in current graduate school.
• Eligible to comply with U.S. export control laws; TWIC may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Solve diverse and open-ended problems as part of accelerating Dow's digital evolution.
• Collaborate with domain experts across Dow to accelerate delivery on priority projects.
• Develop expertise as an industrial researcher and contribute to both fundamental and applied research.
• Work on projects spanning product and process research, application development, operations improvements, safety, sustainability, and supply chain optimization.
• Align to one of Dow’s key functions (R&D, ISC, M&E, IS, or EHS&S) with variable geography and timing.
