The Digital Producer is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of all online content and owns the execution of the online content strategy across multiple platforms and products. It requires a candidate who thrives in a breaking‑news culture and has demonstrated online and multimedia journalism experience. The primary goal is to craft timely and compelling products that drive loyal engagement, grow audience and extend the Business Journal brand. The role demands solid news judgment, strong headline‑writing skills, familiarity with SEO and site metrics, and an excellent grasp of our audience and market.
The Digital Producer should be proficient and creative in using social media to promote content and increase engagement. A willingness to experiment with new platforms such as podcasting, video reels and other multimedia channels that grow audience is essential.
In addition to working with staff, the Digital Producer curates, reports, writes articles, produces interactive features and copy‑edits as needed. The result should be a rich and vibrant digital experience that serves the Business Journal audience, generates user feedback and inspires robust community interaction.
