Job summary

Staples is seeking a Print Production Digital Press Specialist for our Cleveland facility. You will operate large-scale digital presses, coordinate production flow, and ensure rapid, high-quality output for large orders from our stores.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with RIP and workflow software: Fiery, Onyx, Freeflow.
• Experience with color production workflows with an emphasis on digital workflow.
• Knowledge of color management, color spaces and ICC color profiling.
• Knowledge of substrates and their limitations/characteristics.
• Knowledge of preflight and file preparation.
• Knowledge of or experience with imposition.
• Ability to read & interpret instructions and address problems proactively.
• Familiarity with image editing applications in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform press maintenance and operation of high-volume digital presses (Ricoh/Xerox).
• Troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and monitor service items.
• Calibrate and linearize the system for optimal color output.
• Be the point person for prepress of large-scale orders.
• Coach team members to increase quality and quantity of in-house orders.
• Oversee quality process of all jobs before, during and after production.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned.
