Job summary

AlphaGraphics is seeking a Digital Print Production Operator to set up and run digital printers, calibrate colors, and ensure Pantone color accuracy across large and small formats.

You will handle bindery tasks, maintain printers, and collaborate with the Center Manager to prioritize daily jobs. A strong eye for detail and basic design skills are a plus.

This 8-hour, Monday-to-Friday role offers training, career development, and a collaborative, fun work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with digital printing is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Basic bindery skills required.
• Graphic design skills are a plus.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital commercial printers using Fiery and Onyx.
• Impose and nest files for print.
• Prioritize and manage daily production with the team.
• Produce accurate, high-quality orders.
• Update MIS with job status and locations.
• Proof each job against work order.
• Check for waste and re-dos; quality-check.
• Complete QA documents for all jobs.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Perform maintenance and learn extended maintenance.
• Calibrate color devices to maintain color consistency.
• Monitor color during runs and adjust as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Digital Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using digital printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs. Your duties also involve bindery which may include cutting, folding and stuffing envelopes. You will manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed. This includes printing on both Large format and Small format. Large format consists of posters, vehicle wraps, wall murals, etc. and Small format has books, business cards and product brochures.

Digital Print Production Operator Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery & Onyx Command Workstation.
• Responsible for imposing / nesting files for print
• Works with Center Manager and other Production members to prioritize and manage daily job production
• Produces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards
• Updates job status and location in MIS system
• Always runs a proof copy and compares it to the work order
• Controls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced
• Completes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment
• Performs all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician.
• Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.
• Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned

Digital Print Production Operator Qualifications

• Digital printing experience preferred
• Ability to organize several activities and tasks concurrently.
• Can perform basic bindery functions
• Graphic design skills are a plus but not necessary
• Customer service experience is a plus but not necessary
