Job summary

AlphaGraphics of Greenway Plaza in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Digital Print Production Operator to set up and run cut-sheet digital printers, calibrate color to Pantone specs, and perform routine maintenance to keep production flowing.

You will also support the large format team with vehicle graphics and wall murals, learn extended maintenance, and help ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality output across all jobs while following safety and process guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of digital printing experience; preference for Xerox presses and Fiery.
• Experience with envelope presses is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized while meeting deadlines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
• Ordering and maintaining paper and envelope stocks; keep area organized.
• Basic bindery skills; Fiery familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital printers using Fiery Command Workstation.
• Assist in the large format department with installations and production.
• Impose files for print and run USPS mail software.
• Coordinate with Production Scheduler to prioritize daily jobs.
• Produce orders accurately and maintain quality standards.
• Update job status in MIS system; log production data.
• Run proofs and compare to work orders; manage waste and re-dos.
• Complete QA documents and track material usage and inventory.
• Maintain logs and a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform maintenance and learn from technicians; ensure service calls are properly credited.
• Calibrate and manage color devices to maintain color consistency.

As a Digital Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs. You will also manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.

This is an excellent position for someone interested in entering the industry and building a lasting career.

You will also be trained to assist our large format department in printing, production, and installation projects. Primary examples of projects that need assistance are vehicle graphics and wall mural projects that require a second installer.

The primary responsibility of the Digital Print Production Operator is to operate and complete all digital printing (B&W/Color) production for maximum production efficiency.

Digital Print Production Operator Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation.
• Assisting in our large format department with installations & production work when available
• Responsible for imposing files for print & running USPS mail software
• Works with Production Scheduler to prioritize and manage daily job production
• Produces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards
• Updates job status and location in MIS system
• Always runs a proof copy and compares it to the work order
• Controls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced
• Completes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
• Tracks waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machines
• Maintains all Digital Printing Equipment logs
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment
• Performs all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician.
• Ensures that all service “clicks” are credited by the service technician in each call, including credit for poor-quality copies
• Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.
• Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned

Digital Print Production Operator Qualifications

• 3 plus Digital printing experience, preferred if the experience is on Xerox presses and Fiery.
• Experience running Envelop presses.
• Ability to multi-task and organize several activities and tasks concurrently.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, if needed.
• Ordering and maintaining paper, envelop stocks and keep all well organized
• Ability to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipment.
• Can perform basic bindery functions.
• Familiar and comfortable with Fiery Print Controller, a plus.
• Is proficient with the use of Command Workstation (if applicable) to control digital workflow.
• Graphic design skills are preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
