Job summary

Modern Woodmen of America in Rock Island, IL is seeking a Digital Press Operator I to set up and run digital print equipment, ensure quality results, and assist with equipment maintenance in our Print, Mail and Distribution team.

The role requires a High School Diploma, interest or experience with digital printers, and the ability to learn to operate digital press and lift truck while paying attention to details and prioritizing tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to determine proper setup and operating procedures for digital printers.
• Format or impose forms and electronic files for printing.
• Monitor paper stock usage, report flow inventory to supervisors.
• Order and maintain adequate supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of production finishing (bindery) functions.
• Maintain serviceability of printers, including routine maintenance.
• Obtain entry level knowledge to operate any device in the digital fleet, including frontend software.
• Ensure working areas, conditions and equipment are safe and free from obstructions.
• Follow all equipment and building safety procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Digital Press Operator

Bring your attention to detail and hands-on skills to our Print, Mail and Distribution team as a Digital Press Operator I. In this role, you’ll keep projects moving by setting up and running digital print equipment, ensuring quality results, and helping maintain equipment for smooth, reliable production.

What we offer

• Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $19.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employment-based sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time, nor can we guarantee future sponsorship.
• Work Arrangements: This is a full-time on-site hourly position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. on-site positions work at our Print, Mail, and Distribution Center in Rock Island, IL.
