Job summary

Innovairre is seeking a Digital Press Operator to manage precision operation, calibration, and maintenance of advanced systems on a fast-paced production line in Mount Pleasant, IA. The role emphasizes software-driven mechanical proficiency and teamwork to meet strict deadlines.

The ideal candidate has a High school diploma or GED and relevant production equipment experience. First shift hours are 5am-3pm with a $500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years’ experience running production equipment or 6 months as a digital inserter operator.
• Experience with computers and software-driven mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret job instructions.
• Ability to work with both computers and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds intermittently.

Responsibilities

• Sets up machine per individual job.
• Runs machine at optimal speed to meet production standards.
• Performs adjustments on machine to maximize productivity.
• Loads components onto machine per job instructions.
• Performs regular quality checks on all components and finished packages.
• Recalibrates equipment as required.
• Communicates job status and production concerns during shift transition.
• Notifies Team Lead of quality issues and helps resolve them.
• Maintains safety practices and keeps the workflow area organized.
• Completes reporting of production KPIs.

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for the precision operation, technical management, and maintenance of multiple state-of-the-art systems. This role serves as a critical link in the production chain, ensuring that high-tech machinery is calibrated for peak performance to deliver high-quality outputs on strict deadlines. The ideal candidate blends mechanical aptitude with software proficiency to drive efficiency and operational excellence.

Responsibilities and Activities:

• Sets up machine per individual job
• Runs machine at optimal speed to meet production standards
• Performs adjustments on machine to ensure maximum productivity
• Loads components onto machine per job instructions
• Performs regular quality checks on all components and finished packages to ensure quality standards are met
• Recalibrates equipment as required
• Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift transition to ensure optimal productivity for following shift
• Notifies Team Lead of component quality issues
• Works with Team Lead to resolve quality concerns
• Ensures safety practices are followed
• Responsible for maintenance and organization of workflow area
• Completes appropriate reporting of production KPIs
• Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Work Experience

• Six months experience as a digital inserter operator or 2 years’ experience running production equipment.
• Prior experience with computers and software driven mechanical systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret job instructions
• Ability to work with both computers and mechanical systems
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Ability to monitor production equipment for speed and quality
• Proficiency with software driven mechanical systems
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting to 45 pounds intermittently
• Knowledge of mechanical operations
• Knowledge of production processes
• Basic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail preferred
