Job summary

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Digital Press Operator to join our New Jersey team. In this role, you will set up and operate digital printing equipment, prepare files for production, and monitor print quality to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and efficiently.

The 2nd shift runs Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. We offer DailyPay on first day and opportunities to grow with a family-owned company that values reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in digital printers.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Basic math skills, including reading a ruler and calculating label dimensions.
• Computer skills to download and manipulate files.
• Ability to operate equipment to meet production and quality standards.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to communicate professionally with team members.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow detailed job orders, identify errors or issues, and take appropriate corrective action
• Set up and adjust printing equipment according to job specifications
• Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments to meet customer requirements
• Monitor equipment performance, identify mechanical issues, and notify maintenance when necessary
• Start and operate production jobs according to the established schedule
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep
• Meet production standards for output, waste, and spoilage
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace to support efficient shift changeovers

Your Responsibilities:

• Read and follow detailed job orders, identify errors or issues, and take appropriate corrective action
• Set up and adjust printing equipment according to job specifications
• Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments to meet customer requirements
• Monitor equipment performance, identify mechanical issues, and notify maintenance when necessary
• Start and operate production jobs according to the established schedule
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep
• Meet production standards for output, waste, and spoilage
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace to support efficient shift changeovers
• Complete production logs and related paperwork accurately

Your Shift:

2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

You Must Have:

• 2+ years experience in digital printers
• Mechanical and technical aptitude
• Basic math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
• Computer skills to download and manipulate files
• Ability to operate equipment to meet production and quality standards
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions
• Ability to communicate professionally with team members
• Attention to detail

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

• Indigo Operator Certification Level 1 or 2

Salary

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
