Job summary

Arroweye, a CPI company, is hiring a Digital Press Operator in Las Vegas to set up and run ASI plastics printing equipment, maintain color quality, and support production efficiency. Responsibilities include maintenance, process improvements, and coordination with contractors.

HS diploma and basic color theory knowledge required; HP/digital print experience a plus. Pay ranges from $25 to $33 hourly, with full-time hours on weekday days.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Competent or above in Microsoft Office.
• Competent or above math skills.
• Basic understanding of color theory.
• Ability to accurately view the full color spectrum.
• Knowledge of plastic card printing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, oversees, and operates ASI plastics printing equipment and files to convert material into finished product per specs.
• Sets up peripheral equipment including coater and primer units.
• Troubleshoots and maintains ASI plastics printing equipment.
• Participates in product testing and R&D.
• Certifies equipment clearance for production after maintenance interventions.
• Ensures consistent print quality and color across equipment.
• Coordinates repairs with maintenance and outside contractors.
• Keeps plastics printing equipment operational to meet production needs.
• Develops methods to improve plastics print operations and reduce costs.
• Implements preventive maintenance and collaborates with team/contractors.
• Resolves print problems with management/quality to improve operations.
• Performs related work and is flexible for alternate shifts during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, oversees, and operates ASI plastics printing equipment and files to convert material into finished product in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices.
• Sets up, oversees, and operates peripheral equipment including coater unit and primer unit.
• Conduct troubleshooting and preventative/routine maintenance on ASI plastics printing equipment.
• Participate in product testing and general product research and development.
• Responsibility for approving/certifying ASI plastics printing equipment is cleared for use in production after internal/external maintenance interventions.
• Responsibility for ensuring that a consistent and comparable quality/color of print is produced from each piece of ASI printing equipment.
• Coordinates required repairs with maintenance and outside contractors on Plastics area printing equipment. Oversees contractors when necessary.
• Ensures that Plastics printing equipment is operational and ready to run as required to meet production requirements.
• Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve plastics print operations, minimize operating costs, and improve utilization of labor and materials.
• Develops and implements preventive plastics print maintenance program in conjunction with team members and contractors.
• Confers with management, operations, and quality personnel to resolve plastics print problems and recommend measures to improve operations, conditions of machines and equipment, and minimize material usage.
• Analyzes and resolves plastics print work problems or assists team members in solving work problems.
• Performs related work as required.
• Be flexible to work alternate shift schedules in order to meet customer demands during peak periods.

Pay range depending on experience: $25 - $33 Hourly

Qualifications

Required Skills and Education

• High-school diploma or equivalent
• Must be competent or above in Microsoft Office
• Must possess competent or above Math Skills
• Basic understanding of Color Theory
• Ability to accurately view the full color spectrum
• Knowledge of plastic card printing equipment

Desired Work Experience

• Experience with HP or digital print
• Successful completion of HP certified operator & shared maintenance training
• Experience working within ISO 9001 or documented quality system

Preferred Skills and Education

• HP or digital print experience a plus.
