Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine is looking for a motivated undergraduate research assistant with a Computer Science background to support its active research program in computational and digital pathology. You will work with faculty and students to develop and apply image analysis and machine learning pipelines on biomedical imaging datasets.

This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of AI and biomedical research and contributes to ongoing peer-reviewed studies.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or completed, a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science or related.
• Coursework or project experience in programming and ML or CV.
• Ability to commit consistent weekly hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate machine learning models for biomedical image analysis.
• Implement digital pathology pipelines for image processing.
• Curate and organize image datasets with experts.
