Job summary

NextGen America is seeking a creative Digital Organizing Associate to join the Digital Organizing team. This fully remote role will build and grow digital communities to engage young voters, expand ballot access, and elect progressives.

You will recruit and train volunteers, lead peer-to-peer texting campaigns, and manage remote volunteer teams while reporting to the Senior Digital Organizing Manager. Strong writing and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute a data-informed digital organizing program to recruit and mobilize remote volunteers.
  • Run voter contact campaigns across email, phone, text, Slack, and other platforms; manage QA and launches.
  • Draft training guides, memos, templates, and toolkits for volunteers.
  • Lead trainings or workshops and coach volunteers before, during, or after shifts.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer leaders to scale impact.
  • Collect and analyze data; produce regular progress reports on campaign impact.
  • Serve as digital community manager and administrator; perform related duties.

Job description

THE ROLE:

NextGen America is currently seeking a creative, self-starting Digital Organizing Associate to join our Digital Organizing team. The digital organizing team will work to build and grow strong digital communities to help engage with young voters, expand ballot access, and elect progressives up and down the ballot. We are looking for organizers to spread the #YouthVote across digital networks, recruit and elevate folks online into strong volunteer networks, and lead volunteer teams in direct voter contact using peer-to-peer (P2P) texting, and other digital tools.

This role will report to the Senior Digital Organizing Manager.

This is a fully remote position with no location requirement. We encourage candidates from all locations within the United States to apply.

WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE:
  • Execute a values-driven and data-informed digital organizing program with a team that will recruit, train, and organize remote volunteers to hit voter contact and mobilization goals in key 2026 races and states.
  • Run regular voter contact campaigns including data request, drafting, QA process, campaign launch, debrief, and clean up.
  • Draft and edit training guides, memos, templates, and toolkits to support volunteers’ direct voter contact over email, phone, text, Slack, and other platforms.
  • Lead trainings or workshops and coach our volunteers before, during, or after their shifts
  • Recruit, train, and engage a team of volunteer leaders
  • Pull regular data metrics and write regular progress qualitative and quantitative reports on impact of direct voter contact.
  • Be a digital community manager and administrator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOU:
  • Experience in either field or digital positions on political campaigns, training volunteers, OR have managed and grown active online communities.
  • Exceptional writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent organizational skills and demonstrate a clear ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines.
  • They must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate consistent attention to detail.
  • Love working in a dynamic team environment.
  • Be a positive team player who sets the tone for everyone to do their best work.
BONUS POINTS FOR:
  • Experience growing and managing digital volunteer teams.
  • Experience and comfortability with leading digital trainings and/or events
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
  • Familiarity administering and managing peer‑to‑peer texting or phone banking campaigns on platforms such as Scale to Win, ThruText (formerly Relay), Spoke, ThruTalk, VPBConnect, or other.
  • Familiarity with graphics and editing tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
SALARY INFORMATION:

The salary for this role is $64,896.00.
