Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Puerto Rico is seeking a Digital Operations Software Developer to join the Digital Technology group in a hybrid role. The position supports enterprise IT solutions and digitalization projects across aerospace aftermarket sites and systems.

You will work with Python, Java, and C#, understand IT infrastructure, networking and security, and collaborate with vendors and MSPs to deliver solutions. Strong communication with international teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years.
• Experience with Python, Java, or C#.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking & security practices.
• Experience working with vendors and MSPs; ability to lead projects.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with an international team.

Collins Aerospace organization is seeking a highly motivated Digital Technology Specialist to join our global Digital Technology group!

This position will play a key Enterprise level role within Collins Digital Operations & Industrial Systems team. The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills to the team, and have the opportunity to be involved with various digitalization projects transforming our Aerospace Aftermarket sites, systems & resources to Connected Ecosystems.

As a member of the Digital Operations & Industrial Systems team you will have the opportunity to get hands-on with information systems - creating new solutions, enhancements, break-fix, analysis, deployment, and sustainment support across a landscape of locations and system environments. You will also be working with customers, taking in requirements, working with vendors, and internal partners to solve complex technical challenges.

**This is a hybrid position in Puerto Rico**

What YOU will do:

Experience with application support, debugging, QA testing.

Experience with various programming languages (Python, Java, C#, etc);

Experience with IT architecture (mid-range application / database servers, low-range user interface device).

Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking & security practices.

Experience working with vendors and managed service providers (MSPs);

Ability to lead projects and help guide customers to solutions.

Experience with process & system design.

Preferred candidates will also have experience / familiarization with an agile framework and relevant processes and work practices; and

Exceptional communication skills with cultural awareness to work with international team.
