Job description

The Role

We're looking for a Digital Media Planner (Direct IO - B2B) to own publisher direct and partner media for one of Wpromote's largest B2B accounts: a leading financial software company whose products span mid-market ERP, advanced small business accounting, and marketing automation. You'll sit within our B2B team, surrounded by a full account team of strategists, channel leads, analysts, and coordinators, and you'll be the person who makes sure the client has the right media partnerships to hit their goals.

This is a role for someone who likes the partner side of media: building relationships with publishers and vendors, running RFPs, negotiating, and holding partners to the same performance standard as any self-serve platform. Budgets are sizable and move often, so you'll need to be comfortable with change and clear-headed about where the dollars should go.

At Wpromote, we believe that great work is only possible with great people. Our goal is to build a better, more inclusive work environment and support our people at every stage of their careers by prioritizing a strong work-life balance through our policies and benefits listed below. As a Best Place to Work according to both Ad Age and Glassdoor and Adweek's Fastest Growing Digital Agency, we are moving fast to expand our teams and bring new experts into the fold to keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible in marketing.

We offer:
  • Remote-first culture
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Extended Holiday break (Winter)
  • Flexible schedules
  • Work from anywhere options*
  • 100% paid parental leave
  • 401(k) matching
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Pet Insurance
  • Sponsored life insurance
  • Short Term Disability insurance and additional voluntary insurance
  • Annual Class Pass credits and more!

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $70,000 - $80,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state's salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

**While this role offers the flexibility to work remotely, we have office hubs in Los Angeles and New York, where you can join in on learning and development opportunities, fun events, take advantage of a space to work, and collaborate in person!

***This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship

You Will Be
  • Planning direct partner media for always-on, seasonal, and ad hoc campaigns, including RFPing and evaluating partners against campaign goals, building and evaluating plans against KPIs, and presenting partnership recommendations to the client
  • Managing day-to-day partner relationships: plan feedback, creative and spec requirements, tagging and reporting needs, and making sure partners have what they need to activate on time
  • Communicating program updates, performance, and recommendations to the client, and joining partner meetings for mid- and post-campaign readouts and new opportunities
  • Leading the push for better partner measurement so direct media can be evaluated alongside programmatic and other self-directed channels, partnering with the Data Intelligence team on reporting and automation needs
  • Contributing to performance reporting and insights, and sharing cross-program learnings on creative, audiences, formats, and publishers with Programmatic counterparts for holistic Display and Video reporting
  • Working with Coordinators and Ad Ops on trafficking, and tracking changes to partnerships across plan inclusions, budgets, and new IOs
  • Coordinating creative between media partners and the client team, including QA for new launches and timely planning for creative swaps
  • Proactively bringing the client new partners, formats, and opportunities worth testing, along with any partner incentives, added value, or credits they can take advantage of
  • Staying current on the B2B publisher and partner landscape
You Must Have
  • 3-5 years of experience in media planning for publisher direct and/or programmatic media, in an agency or in-house environment
  • Experience managing vendor and publisher relationships, including RFPs, negotiation, and ongoing performance conversations
  • Experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns across a variety of KPIs
  • Experience with trafficking programmatic or direct media
  • Experience working with analytics teams on granular program tracking and performance dashboards
  • Experience managing sizable budgets that shift frequently
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and respond to situations quickly
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
  • Experience planning media for B2B, SaaS, or financial services brands
  • Experience on large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and business units
  • Familiarity with B2B partner types such as trade publishers, review and comparison sites, newsletters, and sponsored content
