Job description

Organizational Overview: Seattle Theatre Group (STG) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to creating enriching experiences in the arts, engaging diverse communities, and stewarding some of Seattle's most iconic theatres and performance spaces. As the largest nonprofit performing arts presenter in the Pacific Northwest, STG welcomes more than one million people each year through a mix of Broadway productions, concerts, comedy, dance, speakers, and community events across our venues.

Beyond our stages, STG is committed to expanding access to the arts through robust Education & Community Engagement (ECE) programs that include classes, workshops, artist residencies, youth programs, and community partnerships. Guided by our vision that STG is the people's theatre where all are welcomed and represented, we continually work to remove barriers to participation and ensure the arts are accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the communities we serve.

Position Summary: The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing STG’s digital marketing channels to promote performances, programs, and initiatives across multiple venues and platforms. This role ensures digital audiences are strategically targeted, optimized, and aligned with organizational goals to drive ticket sales, increase audience engagement, and strengthen brand visibility. The coordinator will also actively facilitate content coordination and brand consistency across STG’s digital platforms, including social media, website, blog, and email, ensuring a cohesive and engaging audience experience. Responsibilities include executing paid digital campaigns, overseeing STG’s Google Ad Grants program, and establishing baseline reporting to track performance, measure effectiveness, and inform ongoing strategy. The ideal candidate is analytical, creative, and passionate about STG’s nonprofit mission, community impact, and live performance and entertainment, with a strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, audience targeting, content coordination, and performance optimization across digital channels. This position earns between $30.9 to $46.39 (midpoint $38.66) DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, Life Insurances and paid time off as well as 403b Retirement savings plan with discretionary match.

Key Responsibilities:
Digital Advertising & Campaign Management
  • Review, plan, place, and manage digital advertising campaigns across platforms, including Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Google Ads, OTT/CTV, Reddit, Spotify, paid search, programmatic display, and streaming audio services.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop data-driven digital marketing plans that align with organizational priorities, show-specific goals, audience demographics, sales objectives, and available budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to identify opportunities to amplify high-performing organic content through paid campaigns, extending reach, increasing engagement, and driving ticket sales.
  • Monitor campaign performance and audience behavior, analyze results, and make ongoing recommendations to improve creative, targeting, placements, and conversion rates.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in ongoing research around emerging digital advertising strategies, platforms, technologies, and audience trends to identify opportunities for future campaigns and improve overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement A/B testing strategies for creative assets, messaging, calls to action, audience segments, and placements to continuously improve campaign performance.
  • Manage digital advertising budgets, monitor spending and campaign pacing, and communicate any suggested adjustments for allocations across channels with team as needed to maximize efficiency, return on investment, and ticket sales.
  • Track conversions, ticket sales, website traffic, and audience engagement using available analytics tools, tracking pixels, and platform reporting to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Establish baseline performance metrics and deliver regular reports summarizing campaign results, key performance indicators, audience insights, and lessons learned to inform future marketing decisions.
Audience Strategy & Channel Optimization
  • Manage and optimize STG’s digital marketing channels to ensure content, campaigns, and audience targeting are coordinated, effective, and aligned with organizational and show-specific objectives.
  • Support audience segmentation and targeting strategies using available customer, ticketing, website, and campaign data to reach relevant audiences, attract new patrons, and encourage repeat attendance.
  • Monitor audience acquisition, engagement, and conversion trends across digital channels and recommend opportunities to improve targeting, strengthen audience relationships, and increase marketing effectiveness.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of STG’s Google Ad Grants program, including campaign development, keyword strategy, account optimization, compliance with program requirements, and performance reporting.
  • Optimize the use of Ticketmaster’s marketing tools and audience engagement capabilities to expand audience reach, improve targeting, drive ticket sales, and maximize the value of STG’s investment in the platform. Partner with internal teams and Ticketmaster representatives, as appropriate, to leverage available audience data, promotional tools, campaign capabilities, and performance insights to identify new opportunities for audience acquisition, conversion, and repeat attendance.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and social media colleagues to facilitate content coordination and brand consistency across STG’s digital ecosystem, including the website, blog, email marketing, and social media platforms.
  • Help identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities across digital channels to ensure messaging, creative assets, calls to action, and audience experiences are cohesive and support STG’s broader marketing and organizational goals.
