Job summary

Plexus Corp. seeks a Digital Manufacturing Operations intern to help optimize production with digital technologies in a high-volume environment. You’ll apply automation, data analytics, and simulation to boost efficiency, quality, and agility, directly impacting real-world performance.

This internship is non-exempt and hourly; the offered rate depends on location, experience, and education. Opportunities include developing with Solidworks/AutoCAD and Lean Sigma, plus a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• This internship requires progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field for the full duration.
• Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Lean Sigma is expected.
• Proficiency with Google Applications.

Responsibilities

• Analysis, development, and implementation of digital manufacturing solutions (e.g., automation scripts, data models, simulation scenarios).
• Gather, clean, and analyze manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks and improvements, verify tool effectiveness.
• Create and maintain project documentation per quality/change guidelines.
• Complete project work to understand Plexus' manufacturing processes and engineering specs.
• Gather practical experience using specialized software, test equipment, and measurement tools.
