Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking an experienced machine operator to set up and run digital production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will load materials, monitor machines, and ensure quality while meeting production schedules.

The role requires reading job tickets, basic computer use, and the ability to lift 40–50 lbs. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and participate in preventive maintenance to keep lines running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating in a manufacturing or digital production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, technical instructions, and production schedules.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Basic computer skills for equipment interfaces and production recordkeeping.
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate digital machines per specs and schedules.
  • Load materials, inks, substrates, or components.
  • Review job orders and instructions for accuracy.
  • Monitor equipment and adjust to maintain quality and throughput.
  • Conduct routine inspections of finished products.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and fix issues to minimize downtime.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and keep machines in top condition.
  • Maintain production logs, quality checks, and inventory usage.
  • Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure workflow.
  • Assist training of new team members on digital equipment.
