• This position requires prior AR/VR and Instructional Design experience.
• You are not required to report into a Mosaic office; however, travel to client locations across the United States is required (~50%).
• Geographic flexibility: This position is open to candidates residing anywhere in the US.

Position Overview

The Digital Learning Consultant is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and evaluating learning programs and curricula that provide Mosaic clients with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve business outcomes. This role involves leveraging technologies to enhance learning experiences, promoting innovative teaching initiatives, and ensuring equity and inclusion. The consultant will continually innovate with immersive and non-traditional learning solutions, including virtual reality, interactive video, gamification, storytelling, and experiential design.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Translate client needs into actionable storyboards, planning for data capture and reporting.
• Design XR experiences for skills application in simulated environments.
• Manage client relationships, timelines, and coordinate content QA testing.
• Review XR content from both client and developer perspectives.
• Implement XR products into LMS and develop reporting structures.
• Create digital course content using instructional design methodologies like ADDIE or SAM.
• Lead design sessions with clients and SMEs, both in person and virtually.
• Develop assessment tools to measure learner performance.
• Create engaging digital learning experiences for diverse audiences.
• Research and understand learning content thoroughly.
• Draft solution outlines, storyboards, and explanatory documents for client approval.
• Develop detailed storyboards for learning solutions, including UI components and development instructions.
• Ensure solution integrity through review and testing.
• Communicate project vision to third-party developers throughout the process.
• Stay updated on modern XR and immersive learning methods.
• Design user-centered solutions and improve user experience.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure project success.
• Support QA processes and incorporate feedback.
• Apply traditional and modern learning theories to innovative tools.
• Participate in meetings and adapt to different time zones as needed.

Skills and Experience

• Instructional design background with knowledge of adult learning theories.
• Experience with innovative digital instructional design approaches within budget and timelines.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies and understand complex technical material.
• Experience with gamification, storytelling, and human-centered design.
• Proficiency in writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Basic familiarity with XR/VR/AR environments and hardware is preferred but not required.

Education & Compensation

The estimated salary range is:

• Lead Consultant: $105,000 - $125,000
• Senior Consultant: $125,000 - $145,000
