Position Summary

The Senior Server Engineer is dedicated to architecting and sustaining high-performance, low-maintenance, and highly available server platforms that support critical business operations. This role involves hands‑on management and optimization of the company’s server infrastructure, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Key responsibilities include leading complex IT projects, performing comprehensive system analyses, and overseeing the full lifecycle of business‑critical IT systems. This role involves close collaboration with Group and Division leadership, subject matter experts, and third‑party vendors to guarantee solutions are aligned with organizational objectives and adhere to industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Infrastructure & Systems Integration:Administer and integrate client/server operating systems and enterprise infrastructure in secure, multi‑tier environments, ensuring availability, performance, and maintainability.
• Network & Cisco Support:Apply core networking principles (VLANs, routing/subnetting, DNS/DHCP, NAT, MTU, QoS, firewall concepts) to support server, virtualization, and application connectivity. Perform basic‑intermediate Cisco switch/router configuration and troubleshooting (interfaces, VLANs/trunks, port‑channels, STP, routing basics, ACLs); partner with Network Engineering on complex changes.
• System Analysis & Recommendations:Conduct system analyses to identify technology/process gaps, assess risk/impact, and recommend practical improvements.
• Technology Implementation:Assist in the design, deployment, and operationalization of new technologies and services; communicate milestones, risks, and closure updates to stakeholders.
