Job summary

Universal Music Group in Philadelphia seeks a Digital Imaging Technician to manage technical production workflows, media handling, imaging integrity, and on-set operations across Content & Experience productions. You will work with Directors of Photography, Producers, Editors, and camera teams to ensure assets are captured, processed, backed up, organized, and delivered to technical standards.

  • 4-8 years experience in digital imaging, technical production, post-production workflows, broadcast operations, or related production environments.
  • Strong understanding of camera systems, recording formats, codecs, color management, and digital imaging workflows.
  • Experience supporting video, photography, ecommerce, campaign, and content productions.
  • Knowledge of media management, backup systems, storage solutions, and asset workflows.
  • Experience working with post-production teams and editorial pipelines.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Media management and asset integrity—manage ingestion, verification, organization, and backup of production assets.
  • Maintain secure and reliable media management workflows.
  • Ensure all footage, photography, and production assets are correctly archived and documented.
  • Establish redundancy and backup procedures that protect asset integrity.
  • Coordinate asset handoff processes between production and post-production teams.
  • Maintain file naming, metadata, and organizational standards.
  • Workflow development—develop and improve production-to-post-production workflows.
  • Establish technical standards and best practices across content production.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Support implementation of new production technologies and systems.
  • Collaborate with Editors and Post Production teams to optimize delivery workflows.

The Digital Imaging Technician plays a critical role in ensuring productions operate efficiently, assets are captured and managed correctly, and creative teams can move confidently from production through post-production without compromise. This role sits at the intersection of technology, production, and creative execution, helping ensure every production is built on a foundation of reliability, quality, and operational excellence.

How You’ll CREATE

The Digital Imaging Technician is responsible for managing technical production workflows, media handling, imaging integrity, and on-set technical operations across Content & Experience productions. Working closely with Directors of Photography, Producers, Editors, Photographers, Camera Operators, and Post Production teams, this role ensures assets are captured, processed, backed up, organized, and delivered according to established technical standards and production requirements. Beyond supporting individual productions, the Digital Imaging Technician contributes to the development of scalable production workflows, technology standards, and technical best practices that improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across the organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong operational discipline and problem-solving skills, serving as a trusted technical partner throughout the production lifecycle.

The following responsibilities are expected:

Bring Your VIBE

4-8 years experience in digital imaging, technical production, post-production workflows, broadcast operations, or related production environments
