Job summary

MCC Knoxville is seeking a Digital Press Operator to run digital printing equipment and monitor label quality and press conditions. The role involves following safety rules, completing make-readies, and performing quality checks to meet customer specifications.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and experience with digital presses is preferred. The position offers an hourly rate of $25–$27 with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, plus excellent training, benefits, and

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Digital press experience preferred; strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work from job tickets, product specifications, and quality standards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including 2nd or 3rd shift if required.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report all safety concerns or issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
  • Complete make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure the correct print file, substrate, inks/toners, coatings, and tooling are used.
  • Review and prepare digital print files, including copy, color settings, and layout, before starting the job.
  • Complete all required quality checks related to product specifications, including visual and functional checks and all press-side quality checks.
  • Operate the digital press to produce product to customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
  • Maintain consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include copy, color, registration, and ink/toner adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
  • Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
  • Complete press make-readies in an efficient manner.
  • Complete all required equipment maintenance duties.
  • Clean print components, ink/toner systems, and press parts as required, and lubricate equipment as needed.
  • Enter all required information into the Radius system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner.
