Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking product-minded engineers to deliver modern, accessible web experiences for US federal clients. You will turn user needs into production features using React/TypeScript and collaborate across product, design, security, and platform teams.

You’ll translate designs into components, integrate with APIs, and contribute to design-system work while growing into leadership of features and technical patterns. Hybrid work options may apply based on program needs.

Responsibilities

**You are:**

A product‑minded engineer who cares about the experience users have with the software you build. You combine modern front‑end engineering with practical full‑stack skills to turn user needs and designs into accessible, responsive, reliable digital products for federal clients. You may be building your engineering foundation or already be ready to independently own meaningful features and workstreams. This capability posting is intentionally designed for a range of experience. As your scope grows, you may move from contributing to components and features to leading larger product areas, defining front‑end and full‑stack patterns, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture and engineering standards across teams.

The work:

• Build modern, responsive, accessible web and mobile experiences using contemporary JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and component‑based architectures.
• Translate product requirements, UX designs, prototypes, and user feedback into production‑ready features and reusable components.
• Develop and integrate front‑end experiences with APIs, services, data sources, and serverless or lightweight back‑end capabilities.
• Create and maintain design‑system components, shared UI patterns, and engineering standards that improve consistency and delivery speed.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, debugging, refactoring, and release activities.
• Build accessibility, Section 508 considerations, responsive behavior, security, and web performance into the engineering lifecycle.
• Use AFS‑approved AI‑assisted engineering tools and workflows to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and problem solving while validating outputs and maintaining engineering quality.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Application Engineers, Quality Engineers, designers, platform teams, security teams, and client stakeholders.
• As your experience grows, lead complex features, mentor engineers, shape design‑system or application patterns, and help teams make sound technical tradeoffs.

Here’s what you need:

• Professional experience in full‑stack, web, mobile, or product engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and at least one modern framework such as React, Angular, Vue, Next.js, or a comparable technology.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, responsive design, reusable components, and modern web development practices.
• Experience consuming or building REST APIs and integrating user experiences with back‑end services or data sources.
• Experience leveraging code assist technologies while developing applications (e.g., Gemini Code Assist, GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, etc.)
• Understanding of automated testing, source control, code review, debugging, and Agile delivery practices.
• For candidates with deeper experience, demonstrated ability to independently lead complex features, mentor others, influence technical patterns, and resolve ambiguity across teams.

Bonus points if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Human‑Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, accessibility standards, Section 508, WCAG, or accessible testing tools.
• Experience with Node.js, Python, Java, serverless technologies, or other back‑end development used to support digital experiences.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, cloud‑native application development, containers, or serverless platforms.
• Experience with web performance optimization, observability, CI/CD, automated UI testing, or front‑end security practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly, learn quickly, work collaboratively, and take increasing ownership of features or technical workstreams.
• Previous federal consulting, government, or mission‑oriented delivery experience.

• Ability to work with federal clients and comply with applicable AFS, client, security, and program requirements.
• Ability to work in a hybrid, remote, or client‑site environment as program needs require.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
