KTXL FOX40 is seeking an exceptional Digital Executive Producer to lead the newsroom into a fully integrated, multiplatform operation. This role breaks down silos between digital, broadcast, streaming and social, ensuring every story lives across platforms in audience-driven ways.

Job description

KTXL FOX40 is looking for an exceptional Digital Executive Producer, to lead the evolution of our newsroom into a fully integrated, multiplatform operation.

This is not a traditional digital role. The Executive Producer will be a central editorial leader-responsible for breaking down silos between digital, broadcast, streaming, and social, and ensuring every story we produce lives across platforms in meaningful, audience-driven ways.

This leader will build, coach, and elevate a high-performing digital team; help drive growth on all digital platforms; and raise the entire newsroom's fluency in how audiences consume news today.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and help grow a high-performance Digital team
• Set the vision, standards, and daily expectations for Digital performance
• Create accountability around metrics, content quality, and editorial judgment
• Identify gaps and actively train the team in video, social, SEO, and analytics
• Serve as a key voice in daily editorial decision-making, alongside broadcast leadership
• Ensure Digital is present early in story conception, not just at the end
• Push for stronger, smarter story framing that works across all platforms
• Hold the newsroom accountable to multiplatform execution

Integrate Digital, Broadcast, and Streaming

• Partner with show EPs, assignment editors, and producers to extend the life of every story
• Create seamless workflows between linear, digital, and streaming
• Ensure broadcast content is consistently optimized and repurposed for Digital and CTV
• Drive the evolution towards vertical video
• Eliminate gaps where content is left underutilized or audience opportunities are missed

Drive the Growth of streaming

• Work in lockstep with the Executive Producers to stream build and grow Fox40+
• Identify daily opportunities for live, near-live, and on-demand content on streaming
• Support and strategize the promotion of FOX40+ across all platforms

Elevate Social & Audience Reach Across the Newsroom

• Lead a newsroom-wide approach to social, not just a digital team function
• Establish clear expectations for how content is created and distributed on social platforms
• Train and guide newsroom staff to produce content that performs natively on each platform
• Stay ahead of trends and ensure FOX40 is competitive in emerging formats

Own Digital Performance & Growth

• Oversee homepage strategy, editorial prioritization, and identifying content that, when packaged correctly, will resonate on digital platforms.
• Use real-time and long-term analytics to guide decisions and adjust strategy
• Drive measurable growth in engagement, loyalty, and reach
• Establish clear KPIs and ensure consistent performance against them

Basic Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a digital news environment, with experience managing people and performance.
• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to lead in a breaking news environment
• Track record of driving audience growth through content strategy and execution
• Deep understanding of SEO, analytics, and social platforms
• Experience working across video, streaming, and digital storytelling formats
• Ability to influence across teams and lead without rigid organizational boundaries
• Strong communicator who can set expectations and hold teams accountable
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving newsroom environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Track record of digital and social media growth
• 3 years of digital experience a plus

Compensation - $75,000+ annually commensurate with experience and skill level
