GE Vernova Inc. is seeking a Digital Engineering Support Manager to lead Software Quality/Compliance and Application and Infrastructure Support teams supporting GE Vernova Nuclear Engineering and external customers. You will drive long-term planning, budget adherence, and delivery of quality software and tools.

Job Description Summary

The Digital Engineering Support Manager will be responsible for providing leadership of the Software Quality/Compliance and the Application and Infrastructure Support teams. These teams directly support the GE Vernova Nuclear Engineering teams as well as software products that are hosted for external customers. In addition, you will manage complex issues within the functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall engineering strategy. You will apply your knowledge of management, best practices, and proven processes to lead teams to deliver quality support for existing and new applications on budget, and within planned schedule.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Proven technical expertise, executing project support/leadership within a particular technical area.

• Manages a medium team of senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function.

• Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

• Have accountability to work with the GEH engineering, Product Management and Project Delivery teams to fulfill the needs of acquisition and support of engineering software and tools.

• Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

• Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

• May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering roles.

Eligibility Requirements

• This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

• 25% travel. Less travel if located in Wilmington, NC.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience with Engineering Design Tools, Software Quality, Infrastructure Support.

• Experience with managing people to fulfill functional needs of software quality, application configuration and management, and infrastructure support.

• Strong project execution skills and experience

• Experience with execution in large construction or engineering projects.

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
