Job summary

Draper is seeking a Digital Engineering Data Solutions Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL to advance model-based systems engineering and data-centric capabilities for national defense programs. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team to develop requirements, create simulations, and integrate real-time software with hardware models, applying C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Python.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; PhD preferred.
• 7–10 years of Systems Engineering or related experience.
• Professional software development in a multidisciplinary team; C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, integrate, verify and validate system-level simulations.
• Develop simulation CONOPs, use cases, and requirements.
• Design a simulation architecture, including interfaces, facilities, infrastructure and models.
• Write and automate test plans.
• Develop real-time hardware interfaces, integrate legacy software models, and develop new software models.
• Lead a small team of engineers.
• Integrate 3D visualization tools and develop an in-house real-time software framework.
