Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior transformation leader to define and drive a multi‑year digital strategy across PLM, ERP, and MES. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage large budgets, and partner with senior leaders to align digital initiatives with operational goals.

You will evaluate cutting‑edge technologies, build strong business cases, and ensure risk management and traceability across all programs, delivering end‑to‑end value for complex aerospace/defense‑like environments.

Qualifications

• Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• 15+ years in engineering, digital transformation, or enterprise systems delivery.
• 10+ years leading multi‑million‑dollar programs with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year digital transformation roadmap with milestones and business‑case driven prioritization.
• Architect the integrated ecosystem including PLM, ERP, and MES for end‑to‑end digital thread.
• Evaluate technologies (digital twin, model‑based systems engineering, AI/ML analytics) and build business cases for adoption.
• Lead large‑scale programs from requirements through design, build, test, deployment, hypercare, to operations.
• Own technical integrity and risk management across concurrent implementations.
• Ensure timely delivery of system integrations, data migrations, and validation activities with full traceability.
• Partner with PM, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT leaders to align digital solutions to needs.
• Lead a high‑performing team of engineers and mentors.
• Manage multiple vendor and systems integrator relationships and ensure milestone alignment.
• Lead executive briefings to inform strategy and secure sponsorship.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year digital transformation roadmap aligned to segment strategic objectives with measurable milestones and business‑case‑driven prioritization
• Establish the architecture for the integrated ecosystem including PLM, ERP, and MES that enables a true end‑to‑end digital thread
• Evaluate emerging technologies (digital twin, model‑based systems engineering, AI/ML‑driven analytics) and build business cases for adoption
• Lead large‑scale, multi‑workstream transformation programs from requirements through design, build, test, deployment, hypercare, and transition to operational support
• Own technical integrity and risk management across concurrent implementations and integration efforts
• Ensure timely delivery of system integrations, data migrations, and validation/verification activities with full traceability
• Partner with Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT leadership to align digital solutions to operational needs and drive enterprise‑wide adoption
• Lead a high‑performing team of engineers, architects, and functional leads as well as mentor emerging talent
• Manage multiple vendor and systems integrator relationships, ensuring alignment to project milestones, deliverables, and contractual obligations
• Lead executive‑level briefings that inform strategic decision‑making, drive alignment across the enterprise, and secure sponsorship for digital transformation initiatives

Requirements

• Must Be Able to Obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
• 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering, digital transformation, or enterprise systems delivery within aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries
• 10+ years of direct, hands‑on experience leading digital transformation/modernization programs involving PLM, ERP, and/or MES platforms—including full lifecycle planning, execution, go‑live, and stabilization
• 5+ years in a senior manager‑level or equivalent leadership role with responsibility for multi‑million‑dollar program budgets and cross‑functional teams of 20+
• Delivery of large, complex, $100M+ at‑scale enterprise system integrations connecting disparate systems
