Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is hiring a Manager of Digital Development to lead our front-end team in building scalable, responsive web experiences for a national ecommerce audience. You will drive UI pattern libraries, collaborate with UX researchers, designers, merchandisers, and product managers to deliver fast, accessible, and SEO-friendly interfaces.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on development, and a strategic view of web architecture in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development across multiple platforms including ecommerce/transactional site.
• 3+ years leading a team.
• 3+ years IT experience in the retail industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide team management and direction.
• Define reusable UI component library.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to deliver UI patterns.
• Develop digital web properties with responsive design.
• Drive code quality and testing.
• Oversee UI architecture for usability and performance.
• Stay current with web trends and new tools.
