Job summary

micro1 Inc. is seeking a Digital Artist contractor to evaluate and enhance AI-generated images. You will use your artistic and technical expertise to train AI systems with high-quality real-world inputs, contributing to model learning and behavior evaluation.

The ideal candidate has strong visual critique skills, proficiency with major image tools, and the ability to communicate technical observations clearly. Remote work within the United States is supported for this project.

Qualifications

• Located in the United States, with valid authorization to contract within the country.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in digital art, retouching, compositing, 3D rendering, graphic design, color grading, or photography, with a portfolio of original works.
• Proficiency in image editing and creation tools such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Procreate, Blender, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on descriptive and technical visual vocabulary.
• Demonstrated ability to detect subtle differences and accurately identify artifacts unique to AI-generated images.
• Basic understanding of AI image generation processes and knowledge of typical failure points (e.g., Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Firefly, Flux).
• Experience in image evaluation, data annotation, or quality assurance in creative or technical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Upload original digital images or photographs per project specs.
• Conduct side-by-side evaluations of artwork vs. AI-generated counterparts, document differences.
• Identify and articulate issues related to anatomy, color, lighting, perspective, texture, and detail.
• Detect and describe AI artifacts such as warped anatomy, smeared textures, inconsistent shadows, irregular reflections or text.
• Provide concise, precise written feedback using industry terminology referencing image locations.
• Deliver thorough, methodical reviews prioritizing accuracy and visual detail over speed.
• Collaborate with coordinators and contributors for comprehensive image assessment and feedback alignment.

No prior experience in AI is required - your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work

1. Upload your own original digital images or photographs in line with provided project specifications.
