Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks an FPGA/ASIC verification engineer to uncover corner-case bugs in gate-level netlists using Questa, VCS, and other industry tools. You will develop testbenches, write verification plans, and collaborate to deliver robust designs for mission-critical systems.
The role requires strong SystemVerilog/SystemC, C/C++, Python skills; familiarity with formal checkers and debug of complex digital blocks; U.S.
Leadership at HII is a mindset, not a title. Through our Leadership Capability Framework, we define how every employee grows, leads, and contributes—regardless of role. We look for candidates who want to grow in alignment with these capabilities:
We’re looking for engineers who excel at uncovering how systems work (and why), thrive in an environment where innovation moves fast and the stakes are high. If you enjoy pushing boundaries, experimenting with new approaches, and delivering solutions that make a measurable impact—this is the role for you.
HII Mission Technologies seeks out‑of‑the‑box thinkers who can uncover difficult‑to‑activate corner‑case bugs and vulnerabilities in the gate‑level netlists of FPGA and ASIC designs. Candidates will utilize industry‑standard functional verification tools (e.g., Questa, VCS, Verdi), logical equivalence tools (e.g., OneSpin 360EC), and proprietary software tools to verify design function and integrity. Common verification targets include embedded processors, DSPs, filters, transceivers, data links, systems‑on‑chip, and decoders.
Experience in the cybersecurity, electronic warfare, encryption, radar, and/or satellite communications domains is a plus.
HII offers competitive benefits including best‑in‑class medical, dental, and vision plans; wellness resources; employee assistance programs; 401(k) savings plan options; financial planning tools; life insurance; employee discounts; paid holidays and paid time off; tuition reimbursement; and post‑secondary education scholarships. Bonus or other non‑recurrent compensation is occasionally offered for qualified positions.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability, age, veteran status or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
