Job summary

Quantum Research International, Inc. seeks a Digital Engineer to join the MASS team for NASIC support. You will apply MBSE and software skills to craft digital capabilities, building authoritative models and integrating architectures and workflows for DoW processes.

Onsite role in the Beavercreek/Dayton area requiring a Top Secret clearance eligibility. Collaboration with cross-disciplinary engineers and government customers is essential for delivering mission-critical results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in DE/MBSE.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java/C++/Python).
  • Experience using DE/MBSE tools to create model-based artifacts meeting customer requirements.

Mission:

Quantum Research is seeking a Digital Engineer (DE)--- Are you looking for an opportunity to flex your technical skills as part of an engineering design team developing digital capabilities? The Modeling, Analytics, and Simulation Sciences (MASS) Operation is seeking a Digital Engineer to support customers at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). As a Digital Engineer, you will use your combined Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and software knowledge/experience to help shape and implement digital solutions and services for our customers. You will work alongside engineers and software developers to develop authoritative engineering models that contribute to our nation's defense. You'll apply your knowledge of engineering processes, tools, methods, and programs to design and integrate system architectures, interfaces, and workflows to support DoW processes. Familiarity with domains such as defense, aerospace, or information technology is highly beneficial.This is an onsite position in the Beavercreek/Dayton Ohio area.

Responsibilities:
  • Shape and implement digital solutions and services.
  • Design and integrate system architectures, interfaces, and workflows to support Department of War processes.
Requirements:
  • At least a Top Secret clearance. Ability to obtain SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience using DE and MBSE tools and processes to create and manage tailored model-based artifacts that meet customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, including Java, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with software engineering and integrating different software platforms/tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SysML/UML for modeling architectures and system behaviors.
  • Proficiency with MBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect).
  • Experience with relational Ontologies, APIs, and designing schemas for workflows.
  • Familiarity with DE concepts such as Digital Thread/Digital Twin applications, automation, and integration of MBSE across organizations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, including internal staff, external contractors, and government customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce and present technical documentation and artifact
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering field or related certifications such as OCSMP Certifications, INCOSE CSEP, or Project Management PMP (among others).
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams through all phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle using Digital Engineering methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SysML 2.0.
  • Experience in managing data from interdisciplinary and various program protection levels.
  • Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering, Computer Science, and Data Science.
  • Knowledge of configuration management, risk management, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), or other architecture frameworks.
Certifications:

Applicable Certifications include but are not limited to any of the following:

  • Software Engineer and Modeling & Simulation Industry related certifications such as OCSMP Certifications, INCOSE CSEP, or Project Management PMP (among others) related training/certification(s) a plus!
