Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Digital Delivery Program Manager based in the United States. This position may be filled at the Manager or Senior Manager level, depending on experience, and offers the opportunity to lead digital delivery strategy across complex construction programs. The role establishes and governs BIM/VDC frameworks, translating owner objectives into consistent standards, workflows, and deliverables across design and construction phases. Acting as a key advisor to owners and a central point of coordination for multidisciplinary teams, the successful candidate will ensure digital delivery activities remain aligned with project goals and operational requirements. The position combines strategic program leadership, technical direction, stakeholder engagement, and oversight of multiple delivery workstreams. It also contributes to the adoption of emerging technologies, digital twin capabilities, and lifecycle data integration. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity with a salary range starting at $140,000 and reaching $190,000 per year.

Accountabilities
  • Program Setup and Governance: Define BIM/VDC requirements in collaboration with owners, design teams, and contractors, translating project objectives into clear program standards. Develop and maintain Digital Delivery Frameworks covering governance, workflows, documentation, naming conventions, file structures, Levels of Development (LOD), and model audit processes.
  • Common Data Environment Management: Establish and govern Common Data Environments (CDE), including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360. Define access permissions, coordination model structures, workflows, and milestone approval gates.
  • Program Discovery and Integration: Assess existing project conditions and establish expectations for 4D and 5D integration, including required inputs, rules, and deliverables, without directly performing scheduling or cost modeling.
  • Owner and Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for owners on digital delivery matters. Align owner objectives with design intent, fabrication requirements, and field execution needs while documenting key decisions, constraints, and requirements.
  • Scope and Compliance Management: Review and validate VDC scope expectations with design partners, trade contractors, owner consultants, and third-party BIM/VDC vendors to ensure consistency with program standards.
  • Internal Service Line Integration: Translate program requirements into actionable scopes for multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, coordination, on-site quality control, scanning, and implementation. Participate in kickoffs, pre-planning activities, and milestone reviews.
  • Quality and Performance Oversight: Verify that service lines follow established standards, workflows, and deliverable expectations. Identify scope gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and quality issues, and provide direction on corrective actions. Support QA/QC reviews of models, documentation, and coordination outputs.
  • Program Delivery Management: Oversee the execution of digital delivery scopes across the program, maintaining visibility into timelines, risks, resource requirements, and dependencies. Track compliance with owner requirements and facilitate regular program reviews, alignment meetings, and performance reporting.
  • Risk Management and Escalation: Identify and elevate major risks, design coordination challenges, and technical blockers early, providing practical recommendations and solutions.
  • Digital Strategy and Technical Direction: Define the technology ecosystem required for digital delivery, including ACC, scanning, point layout, coordination tools, parameters, and metadata structures. Guide the connection of design data, construction models, and field information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Digital Twin and Asset Data Strategy: Support the development of digital twin requirements, facility management (FM) deliverables, and asset data structures, ensuring these expectations are established early in the program.
  • Workflow Optimization: Evaluate digital delivery workflows to improve constructability, prevent clashes, mitigate risks, and identify design issues earlier. Maintain program knowledge bases, templates, and lessons learned to promote consistency and repeatability.
  • Documentation and Standardization: Maintain and control core program documentation, including Digital Delivery Playbooks, BIM Execution Plan frameworks, program standards logs, issue logs, model audit reports, LOD matrices, technology stack documentation, shared parameters, model metadata, and reporting dashboards.
  • Technical Coordination Standards: Establish consistent approaches to 4D/5D readiness, federated models, clash and coordination sequencing, design and construction model development, gap-scope modeling, and FM/digital twin considerations.
  • Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Ensure documentation is clear, controlled, and accessible to stakeholders. Standardize deliverables, workflows, and reporting formats across service lines, contributing improvements to internal procedures and enterprise-wide standards.
  • Business and Commercial Alignment: Support scope definition, clarifications, and assumptions during proposal and contract stages. Identify opportunities for early service line involvement and additional value creation.
  • Leadership and Operational Support: Review program performance, risk exposure, and operational alignment. Advise leadership on resource requirements, service line improvements, and capability development.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 8–12+ years of experience in BIM/VDC, digital delivery, or design and construction program management.

  • Digital Delivery Management: Ability to coordinate multiple service lines, manage program risks, establish clear expectations, and navigate complex or ambiguous project environments.
  • 4D/5D Integration: Familiarity with 4D and 5D integration concepts and the ability to define program requirements and expectations. Direct execution experience is not required.
  • Industry Sector Experience: Experience in healthcare, mission-critical facilities, aviation, higher education, or large public-sector programs is preferred.
  • Digital Standards: Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other recognized digital delivery standards is an advantage.
  • Digital Twin and FM Knowledge: Understanding of digital twin concepts, facility management requirements, and asset data structures is preferred.
  • Lean Construction: Exposure to Lean Construction principles and practices is beneficial.
  • Construction and Project Management: Understanding of construction contracts, project schedules, project management principles, and operational delivery requirements.
  • Commercial and Financial Acumen: Knowledge of business development and client engagement strategies, as well as project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and accounts receivable management.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) that support efficient and consistent project execution.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership, motivational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster accountability and support team development.
  • Strategic Thinking and Adaptability: Ability to think strategically, adapt to changing project needs, and translate complex technical information into clear direction for executives, project teams, and field personnel.
  • Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and effective conflict resolution skills.
