KOAM News Now is seeking a full-time Digital Content Producer to grow our digital products by creating and publishing content for social, streaming, and digital platforms. You’ll work in a fast-paced newsroom environment, making smart publishing decisions under deadline and supporting breaking news and daily coverage.

You will write/edit web stories from scripts and notes, optimize headlines for SEO, and distribute content across TikTok, Facebook, X, and Instagram with platform-appropriate copy.

Qualifications

• Strong news judgment with speed and accuracy under deadline.
• Excellent writing and editing skills (AP style; web-friendly).
• Basic multimedia skills (photo editing, video clipping, captions).
• Verification mindset (source checks, corrections).
• Schedule flexibility for part-time newsroom hours.

Responsibilities

• Publish and optimize stories (headlines, SEO, tags, links, images).
• Monitor breaking news sources and update stories quickly.
• Write/edit web stories from scripts and notes using AP style.
• Distribute/repurpose content for TikTok/Facebook/X/Instagram with platform-appropriate copy.
• Clip/post video, add captions/titles, and create simple graphics as needed.
• Curate homepage/sections, prioritize content, coordinate newsroom handoffs.

You’ll work in a fast-paced newsroom environment, making smart publishing decisions under deadline and supporting breaking news and daily coverage.

KOAM is the local news, weather, and sports leader in the 4-States area (Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri). Key Responsibilities

• Publish and optimize stories (headlines, SEO, tags, related links, image selection/cropping, formatting)
• Monitor breaking news sources and update stories quickly and accurately
• Write/edit web stories from scripts, releases, and reporter notes using strong AP-style copy
• Distribute/repurpose content for TikTok/Facebook/X/Instagram, including platform-appropriate copy and scheduling
• Clip/post short video, add basic captions/titles, and create simple graphics as needed
• Curate homepage/sections, prioritize content, and coordinate newsroom handoffs
• Verify facts/sources and follow ethics/legal guidelines; use analytics to refine headlines and placement
