Job summary

REPORTS TO: Director of Brand & Digital Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Digital Content Producer supports the Strategic Communications & Marketing (StratCom) department by producing, coordinating, managing, and executing digital media content and projects that advance departmental goals.

This role focuses on producing and managing digital content for Space Foundation, including video production, live or recorded digital programming, and multimedia assets that support marketing, communications, and organizational storytelling.

Reporting to the Director of Brand & Digital Marketing, the Digital Content Producer works closely with the Marketing Manger to coordinate project intake,timelines,and deliverables. The role manages the production workflow for assigned content projects, ensuring assets meet brand standards,supportdepartmentalobjectives,and are delivered on schedule.

This position requires strong technical production skills, excellent organizational abilities,outstanding stakeholder communications,and the capacity to manage multiple priorities across creative production and marketing operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Content Production

  • Produce and execute Space Foundation digital content, including video, livestreams, interviews,podcasts,and recorded programming.
  • Manage physical assets used for video production provided by Space Foundation, ensuring equipment ismaintained,and production needs are regularly assessed.
  • Prepare Space Foundation staff, partners, and speakers to succeed in digital presentations (e.g., coaching, directing, staging, and presentation preparation).
  • Performcamera, video, and photographic services for internal and external Space Foundation uses.
  • Edit recorded video and multimedia content to support marketing, communications, and program initiatives.
  • Upload, manage, and organize video files and digital content distribution channels as needed.
  • Apply video optimization and search engine optimization techniques to support digital marketingobjectives.
  • Support social media and digital marketing efforts through the creation of multimedia content.
  • Track the impact of digital content and analyze audience engagement and performance metrics.

Digital ContentProject Management

  • Coordinateproject timelines, deliverables, and workflows forcontent-relatedmarketing and communications initiatives.
  • Manageproject intake, prioritization, and schedulingof video and digital assetproductions.
  • Track progress of digital contentprojects to ensure deliverables are completed on time and aligned with departmental priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication between marketing, creative services,programteams, and external vendors as needed.
  • Maintain project documentation, task tracking systems, and workflow tools used by thestrategic communications andmarketing team.
  • Assistin organizing campaign timelines, creative production schedules, and marketing deliverables.
  • Helpidentifyprocess improvements that enhance efficiency and collaboration across digital contentinitiatives.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for digital content-focused projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The following briefly describes knowledge, skills, abilities and characteristics associated with this position, including any required experience, education, licensure, certification, or combination thereof:

  • BS/BA in communications, communication design, marketing, journalism, digital media, project management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in digital media production, marketing,communications, ora relatedfield.
  • Experience producing digital video and multimedia content for marketing or communications initiatives.
  • Experience producing and editing video content using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, timelines, or workflows in a marketing, communications, or creative environment.
  • Experience hosting or supporting live and digital discussions, interviews, or panels is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with project management tools or workflow systems used for marketing operations.
  • Experience using analytics tools to evaluate digital content performance and audience engagement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and multimedia production tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to operate computers, cameras, and other equipment. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The position may also require lifting, carrying, or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role is primarily based on an office environment, with access to standard equipment and furnishings. JOB STATUS:

  • FLSA Classification: This position is an exempt according to guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act and, as such, an individual in this position is not eligible to receive overtime pay.
  • Full-Time: This position is full-time in nature. An individual in this position will work a schedule consisting of 40 hours per week.
  • Work Location: This position is based at Space Foundation headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. Under our current hybrid work policy, this role is eligible for up to two work-from-home days per week, with the remaining days worked on-site.
  • Schedule: The position's usual business days are Monday through Friday, and its usual business hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the time zone in which it is located.
