Job summary

Shure Incorporated in Niles, IL, offers a 12-week Electrical Engineering Intern (Digital Circuitry) program for undergraduate and graduate students. The internship is 100% on-site in Niles, IL, with a housing stipend for those relocated to Illinois and a competitive hourly wage.

Responsibilities include design, simulation, testing of digital circuits, PCB assembly, prototyping, and independent design projects. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Qualifications

• Two years of coursework in Electrical Engineering or a related area.
• Basic knowledge of digital logic circuits, embedded microcontrollers, ADCs, DACs, DSPs, FPGAs, and other digital components.
• Basic knowledge of audio related circuits, audio systems, and audio measurement techniques.
• Basic knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
• Soldering and circuitry building or repair skills.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Experience with schematic CAD software, PCB layout, and SPICE simulation software is a plus.
• Experience with programming languages or creating test scripts is a plus.
