Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking a creative Digital Arts Instructor for after-school enrichment in Santa Monica, CA. The part-time role focuses on leading digital arts activities for students in grades K–8 and guiding hands-on projects to spark creativity.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital arts and creative projects for K–8 students.

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Digital Arts Instructor to lead engaging after-school enrichment activities for students in grades K–8. The ideal candidate has a background in digital arts, graphic design, creative arts, multimedia arts, or a related field and enjoys helping children explore their creativity through hands-on projects.

This is a part-time opportunity for someone passionate about creativity, student engagement, and making learning fun.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Creative Activities: Facilitate engaging digital arts and creative arts projects for students in grades K–8.
• Teach Digital Arts Skills: Introduce age-appropriate digital art concepts, tools, and techniques based on the assigned program.
• Guide Student Projects: Help students develop their ideas and express themselves through hands-on creative activities.
• Adapt to Student Needs: Adjust lessons based on students’ ages, interests, and skill levels.
• Create a Positive Environment: Foster an inclusive classroom that encourages creativity, participation, confidence, and self-expression.
• Maintain Classroom Safety: Establish appropriate classroom expectations and support a safe, organized learning environment.
• Follow BAM! Programs: Deliver activities in line with BAM! curriculum and communicate classroom or student concerns as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Education or experience in Digital Arts, Creative Arts, Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in digital arts, creative arts, or a related area preferred.
• Experience working with children or youth is preferred.
• Comfort working with students in grades K–8.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Reliability and punctuality for scheduled programs.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned school or program location.
• Ability to pass a background check and complete required training.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay: $32.00/hour

Job Type: part-time

Start Date: September 15, 2026

Schedule:

• Monday between 2:50 – 4:05PM PST
• Tuesdays between 1:35 PM – 4:10 PM PST
• Thursdays between 1:45 PM – 4:10 PM PST
