Job summary

Leadbeam, Inc. is seeking a field-based Account Manager to cultivate strategic relationships with corporate and senior management in key accounts. You’ll develop and execute plans to increase access, drive sales, and expand market share across assigned geographies.

The role requires 3+ years in health science sales or related field, with a preference for pharmaceutical experience. A valid driver's license and HCIR credentialing are mandatory, as is the ability to travel and work outside typical

Job description

This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Perform all aspects of account management, including developing and maintaining strategic business relationships with corporate/senior management staff in key accounts with the goal of establishing multi-level relationships to increase representative access, develop new business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales and market share of the assigned product.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategies to fully and consistently penetrate identified accounts.
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction regarding target accounts to district teams. Conduct regular interaction with district managers and representatives to provide insight regarding account dynamics and market factors that influence business opportunities.
  • Collaborate across channels and stakeholders to uncover insights that drive business within assigned geography; lead the process and leverage innovation to find high‑impact solutions.
  • Advise sales and marketing management with appropriate direction on challenges and opportunities within key target accounts. Develop an annual business plan with goals and objectives to increase sales volume and market share in target accounts.
  • Identify business opportunities and threats at the market level and develop action plans to address. Share ideas and best practices.
  • Help sales teams effectively recognize and maximize opportunities within key target accounts. Provide direction to area DMs and representatives on maximizing account executive initiatives and relationship with key accounts to increase access and selling opportunities.
  • Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address. Demonstrates ability to analyze and support current and future opportunities.
  • Establishes and demonstrates thorough understanding of business negotiations, managed care implications and other drivers impacting the customer environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business‑related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
  • 3+ years of health science field or sales experience with a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales. In lieu of degree, 8+ years of health science sales experience with minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products (e.g., CFR 210/211, cGMP).
  • Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas.
  • Excellent organizational/project management and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license: Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
  • An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health‑care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
  • These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities. Please remember that you are solely responsible for ensuring that you satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements and for any associated liability for failing to do so.
