Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field listed in the minimum requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer.
• Experience with PVD/CVD and high vacuum environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and order equipment for cost-effective manufacture of products.
• Oversee installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Stay current on equipment manufacturers’ notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Study equipment performance and reliability.
• Develop uptime improvement programs and solutions for equipment issues.
• Provide technical support to repair and process engineering teams.
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
• Overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
• Studying equipment performance and reliability
• Establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
• Providing technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
• Defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Equipment experience with AMAT PVD and/or AMAT TxZ chambers
• Prior experience with PVD, CVD, high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum
• Equipment experience on other equipment (e.g., AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, and/or ASM)
• Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
• Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniques. Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
