Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a dietitian specialist to provide inpatient nutrition care for Medical-Surgical ICU. The role requires CNSC certification within one year and RD with ability to place tubes and manage PN nutrition components.

You will join a large, national nutrition services team with opportunities for education reimbursement, relocation support, and career advancement. Clinical leadership and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
• Specialty certification when required.
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for Medical-Surgical ICU patients.
• Place feeding tubes and manage parenteral nutrition components as prescribed.
• Collaborate with ICU team to develop individualized care plans.
• Apply evidence-based nutrition care and align with diet manual and protocols.
• Support QAPI initiatives and continuous quality improvement.
• Mentor dietetic interns and junior staff where applicable.

Position Details

Job Summary

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

What You’ll Do

• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
