Job summary

Anchor Lodge in Tallmadge, OH is seeking a knowledgeable Dietician to join our on-site team. You will assess residents’ nutritional needs, develop personalized meal plans, and educate individuals on healthy eating to support wellness goals.

You’ll collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists, stay current with nutrition research, and maintain detailed resident records. A Bachelor's in Dietetics and RD certification are required, with a commitment to resident-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Registered Dietician (RD) certification.
  • Excellent knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and meal planning.
  • Strong understanding of health conditions and the impact of nutrition on these conditions.
  • Experience conducting nutritional assessments and developing individualized meal plans.
  • Proficient in analyzing blood work, medical history, and other relevant data.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective counseling and education.
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients and motivate them to change eating habits.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date with latest research and trends in nutrition.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments to evaluate residents' dietary habits, medical history, and lifestyle.
  • Develop personalized meal plans based on clients' nutritional goals, dietary restrictions, and health conditions.
  • Provide individualized counseling and education on proper nutrition, portion control, and healthy eating habits.
  • Monitor residents' progress, adjust meal plans as needed, and provide ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists to ensure holistic care.
  • Stay up-to-date with nutrition research and developments.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, including assessments, meal plans, and progress notes.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in practice.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
Registered Dietician (RD) certification
Excellent knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and meal planning
Strong understanding of health conditions and nutrition impact
Experience conducting nutritional assessments and meal planning
