Job summary

Providence St. Peter Hospital in Washington is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to perform nutrition screening, assessment, and care from neonatal to geriatric ages under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Nutrition.

The role focuses on delivering nutrition education and care as part of an interdisciplinary team, supporting patient-centered outcomes within a large health system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in nutrition or dietetics from an accredited school.
  • Washington Dietitian Certification within 6 months of hire OR Washington Nutritionist Certification within 6 months.
  • National CDR Registered Dietitian at time of hire.
  • Completion of AND-accredited dietetic internship or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nutrition screening and assessment for patients from neonatal to geriatric.
  • Provide nutrition care plans and patient education as part of the care team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other clinical staff to support patient outcomes.

Under the general direction of Manager, Clinical Nutrition, the Clinical Dietitian remains responsible for nutrition screening, assessment, and providing nutrition care and education to patients. Ages of customers: Neonatal to geriatric.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree A Major related to human nutrition or dietetics, from an accredited educational institution.
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification. Or
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Nutritionist Certification
  • Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian – Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Completion of a dietetic internship or equivalent experience accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Upon hire: Board‑certified specialist in renal, pediatric, oncology, or gerontological nutrition, CDE, or CNSC
  • Healthcare clinical experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
