Job summary

Henderson Hospital in Henderson, NV is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide nutritional care, education and diet therapy to patients across units. You will assess nutritional status, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.

This full‑time role offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus, CADE‑accredited supervised practice, Nevada licensure as a Dietitian, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or a closely related field approved by the ADA.
• Registered Dietitian with Nevada license.
• CADE-accredited supervised practice program (6–12 months).
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care.

Job Description

Responsible for the nutritional care, treatment, rehabilitation and education to patients based on patient assessments of needs, conditions, impairments, disabilities and age. Duties include assessing nutritional status, developing care plans, educating patients and families, calculating nutritional and actual intakes and preparing special diets.

Qualifications

Shift: FULL TIME VARIED

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or a closely related field approved by the American Dietetic Association (ADA).

Experience

Completed a CADE-accredited supervised practice program at a healthcare facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation, or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies. Typically, a practice program will run six (6) to twelve (12) months in length.

Technical Skills

Computer proficient.

License/Certification

Valid registration as a Registered Dietician from the ADA. Current license by State of Nevada as Dietician. Specialty certification (CDE,CNSD, CSP, CDR) may be required for a specialty position.

Other

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
