Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a registered dietitian to plan, develop, and deliver nutrition care across primary, acute, and community settings. You will provide medical nutrition therapy, patient education, and coordinated care in a rural health system.

The role requires ACEND-accredited education, RD licensure, and strong clinical nutrition experience. A master’s degree is preferred, and the position offers collaboration, a 40-hour work week, and opportunities to improve rural health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition from ACEND accredited program.
• Master's degree in Dietetics required after 2024.
• Clinical nutrition experience through approved program or internship required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) license in applicable state(s).
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
• For applicable states, proof of a temporary/limited permit nutritionist license will be considered for registry eligible individuals.
• Individuals will be allowed two exam attempts within three months of hire into their position.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy services and monitor nutritional care of clients/patients/residents of all ages.
• Determine nutritional status through assessments and create individualized care plans.
• Educate and counsel for disease risk management and nutrition.
• Lead health care team in implementing nutrition therapies and care protocols.
• Tailor clinical education materials for clients, families and caregivers.
• Maintain high infection control standards and participate in quality initiatives.
