Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is a high-acuity teaching hospital in Oakland, Pittsburgh. The inpatient team of Dietitians and Diet Technicians delivers medical nutrition therapy to hospitalized patients, including complex cases such as Transplant, Trauma, Cardiac, and Neurology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using Medical Nutrition Therapy to assess patients and develop goals and a plan of care.
• Formulate a Nutrition Diagnosis and identify Malnutrition through Nutrition Focused Physical Assessment and the nationally established criteria for identification of malnutrition.
• Accountable as nutrition liaison/expert to assigned units & participate as a member of interdisciplinary committees and projects.
• Participate in department Quality Process Improvement activities.
