The Dietitian Float at Ernest Health covers Weslaco and Brownsville, TX, delivering high-quality medical nutrition therapy across rehabilitation hospitals. The role provides flexible coverage for vacations, leaves, staffing shortages, and fluctuating patient census while maintaining evidence-based nutrition care.

Working across multiple facilities, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and expand your clinical expertise within a supportive health system.

Qualifications

• Current Dietitian license required or certified by the Commission on Dietetics, as required by state.
• One year of experience in hospital patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the preparation and serving of meals, in collaboration with the Food Services Manager, based on general or special diets.
• Specifies dietary requirements for patients with special restrictions or nutritional needs.
• Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
