Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Dietitian for a PRN role to assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans. You will educate patients on post-discharge diets, monitor nutrition status, and contribute to patient well-being across our inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure required.
• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.
• Degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited program.
• One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care disciplines.
• Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document pertinent information in the medical record per standards.
• Implement nutrition care plans, adapt menus, assist with special diets.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
