Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems in Newark, OH is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to apply Medical Nutrition Therapy in the inpatient hospital setting as part of a dedicated care team.

You will develop nutrition plans, educate patients and families, monitor nutrition needs, and coordinate enteral/parenteral nutrition with other disciplines. Ohio licensure and CDR registration are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university
• CDR credential as a Registered Dietitian
• Must be a registered dietitian licensed in the state of Ohio
• Completes continuing professional educational requirements to maintain credentials
• Experience as a clinical registered and licensed dietitian preferred. Open to new graduates
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of medical staff, healthcare professionals, managers, etc
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and documents nutrition plan of care and will include a Nutrition Focused Physical Exam as appropriate
• Provides nutrition education to patients and their families
• Provides ongoing nutrition monitoring for patients as indicated
• Calculates Enteral and Parenteral needs and communicates with other disciplines regarding management of alternate nutrition

Position Summary
