Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated dietitian to promote health through personalized nutrition plans for patients in our post-acute setting. You will assess nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating to support post-discharge recovery.

Qualifications

  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • State licensure required.
  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.
  • One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other involved disciplines in patient care.
  • Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
  • Document pertinent information in the patient's medical record according to established standards.
  • Implement nutritional care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needs.
  • Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy.
